The Ford X-HEAD 427 engine (M-6007-X427FRT) does in fact work in the SN95 Mustang, BUT a fair number of modifications to the Mustang and the engine are required. I will be listing and showing key modifications in pictures and words in future posts.

can i install same engine in my 96gt?
Yes, the 96 GT is similar in most respects to the 94-95 GTs so the Ford Racing 427 (either X or Z head) with a rear-mount oil pan will work nicely. The 96 carries a different exhaust system, which will work in your favor. I can definitely say that the Magnaflow system for the 96 DOES NOT fit the 94 GT, as I spent a whole afternoon proving that point.
Yes sir. It fits real nice …use ONLY the Hooker swap headers though.
